Who woulda thought paper toweles?
Ephraim and I have been having a lot of fun together lately. He is such an adorable lil' boy, with such an expressive personality. Adam and I find ourselves just watching him do his thing, with content smirks on our faces. Whether he's just climbing from one end of the couch to the other, or sitting contently playing with a colored pencil while babbling to himself, he is our most cherished form of entertainment! Anyhow I was tiding up his room today and he started attacking this roll of paper towels with shrieks of excitement. So I tried to catch a quick clip of it for his wife to watch someday, and this is what I got. Sorry the lighting is so bad. Oh and then here are a couple shots of him when he saw his old jumper and tried to get in it before it was set up off the ground. Yes, he got stuck and whimpered for a hand to come free him.

BYU Football at its BEST
Unbelievable!! Even as a devoted Cougar fan, I was hoping for a close loss. Anything besides being smothered, to give our program some recognition. But to upset the #3 ranked team in the nation. Not just that but the Sooners! I've had it in for them since my youth as an avid Nebraska Husker fan. They are just always a beast of a team to beat. So to notch them up as a W for the first game of the 2009 season is not something to lightly boast of. SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS BABY! Anyhow for those of you who missed the game, my condolences. And by all means capture what joy you can from ESPN video clips.

Workin out the new Kicks
So as time goes by it seem more and more like my blog will be a mini journal for Ephraim. Here I uploaded a couple newer videos of him prancing around the house. But my favorite part is probably that he's in just a diaper and his stunning nike shoes Grandma Wadsworth gave him for his birthday. Adam and I are thouroughly entertained by this lil' rascall daily. With only 2.5 weeks till his birthday I'm crossing my fingers he'll have his strut down by then. But don't judge his potential for success by these videos, they were taken a lil' while ago.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication
Attended the temple dedication today. Church was canceled for some, maybe even all of Utah. All of SLC and Utah Valley anyhow. It was a wonderful dedication. It is just such a nice reminder of how holy and sacred and precious temples are. There are now a total of 13 temples in Utah. Two of which the city of Jordan can boast of. Since being of a temple-attendance age I've always been fairly close to one. Winter Quarters, then Provo, then Orlando, and now Provo again. I find so much strength in attending the temple regularly. I hope that wherever I live I can be close to a House of the Lord. But if there comes a day where that is not the case, I'll do all I can to remember and reflect on the truths, promises, and strength I've gained from the temple these 13 years and counting. I pray that my distant family can do the same, and be blessed for keeping their covenants.

Blue is the best
So needless to say it had been a long ride in the car. Mom and Dad had drug me along to do some food storage shopping. (I don't know of a more boring shopping experience) And then when we were dropping Aunt Juju off, Dad had to go in and see her new apartment while Mom and I waited in the car. But when he came out with this beauty in his hand, I knew the wait was worth it. Frankly of all the frostings I've had I'm gonna have to say BLUE IS THE BEST! And yes if you were wondering, I was extremely tired, hence the red, baggy eyes. Don't hold it against me and my darling blue lips.
Mmmmm. . . . That's good

A New Beginning
Well here it is . . . my first blog post ever. Wow am I behind in the world of technology or what? I'm becoming my mother! :) I almost fought the blog idea like most old people fought the on come of cell phones. Lets just say me and the blogging world know nothing of each other. But I thought my distant family would appreciate some sporadic updates on the happenings of our home. Plus since making journal entries always seems to elude me, I thought having a blog might just give me the kick in the pants I need to record some more of the day to day appreciations, disappointments, and excitements.
